Being Called Into Ministry Is More To Me Than A Job, It

Being called into Ministry is more to me than a job, it is a calling from the Lord Jesus Christ to proclaim the Gospel to every tongue and nation. I did not enter the ministry for prestige, because mother said I should, or for the monetary benefits. I entered the minister because The Lord placed upon my life a strong calling to serve in a full time capacity. I was asked; how does someone know that they are called to the ministry. I answered them in a question. Can you be happy doing anything else? I believe the scripture to be inerrant and perfect and the complete word of God. I will preach it, teach it and share in until the day I take my last breath of life on this earth. However this is contrary to what the Lord teaches pastors and teachers to do. Let me remind you that in 2 Timothy 4:3-5, the Bible warns us that: â₠¬Å"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.† What a powerful truth! People want their own desires. There is an element regarding preaching we should consider. The element is known as the â€Å"mandate to preach†. There are many references in the bible of mandates to preach the word.
